As planned, we spent the day on "the hook" here at Crease Island Cove (May 20).
SE winds blew pretty strongly last night so this morning we moved 100 yards further from shore and put out an extra 50 feet of chain so that we could sleep more soundly than last night. The winds shifted to the NW in any event, a direction from which we have pretty good protection.
Occasional showers rolled through so we ended up "vegging" with the cats on board the boat. Marcia baked oat bran muffins this afternoon for us to eat over the next several days.
Tomorrow we plan an early start for Port McNeill, less than 20 miles away. We'll probably spend two nights there at the dock. Time to do a couple of loads of laundry and reprovision "freshies". Also, we may take the BC ferry to Alert Cove and visit the museum there.
