We took advantage of a weather window between storms to leave Bottleneck Inlet and head to Shearwater (June 11 ) near Bella Bella. These two communities are the largest along the Central BC coast between Port Hardy and Prince Rupert.
Shortly after leaving Bottleneck we swung by the native community of Klemtu to tank up on water (the water in Shearwater has a dilute ice tea look on account of tannin in the water). In total, we covered 53 miles and had the engine going for 9-1/2 hours, our longest day of travel yet.
We'll spend at least two days here, partly on account of the storm forecasted for tomorrow and partly to catch up on laundry and chores. There is WiFi on the dock so I'll try to post some photos.
