June 30th - Home

While the cruise journey was short, only 18 miles, today was a long and hectic day. We didn't get to our final destination (June 30 ) until after 7 PM. Everybody was cranky on account of being cooped up in a car for the 2-1/2 hours it took for us to get from Anacortes.

We arrived in Anacortes around 10:30 AM but had to fill the tanks. It took 298 gallons to do it. In total, we used 453 gallons of diesel in 219 engine hours, 50 genset hours and an unknown amount of furnace run time while traveling 1308 nautical miles over 50 days. These numbers are consistent with our shorter trip last year in which we consumed 133 gallons while traveling 400 miles.

Now that we are back in the world of convenient high-speed Internet connection, I have no excuse for not posting another batch of photographs. Tomorrow, after sorting the mail and tending to other things, I'll try to pick out some more images worthy of memorializing on the Internet.
